How about a spa treatment underwater?

It may sound a little vague but Huvafen Fushi, one of the Maldives Luxury Resort claims to to have the world’s first underwater spa.

Besides its unique and enigmatic setting, it is also offering an innovative and lucrative wellness package. 

The Spa sports quite a catch name, ‘Lime’, and has treatments with distinctive names like like Lose It, Tone It; Cellulite Therapy and Stress Buster.

For those who would not like to venture into the marine, a special arrangement had been made.

The spa also houses above-water treatment rooms for those who wish to get pampered above the water.

The underwater rooms are made of a solid-cast resin to create the underwater structure which is set in the open ocean without causing any disturbance to the ecosystem in Maldives.

It took 12 months to build this spa.

According to the hotel the resin is five inches thick and it provides infinitely better clarity than the cheaper option of laminated glass.

The island is also home to the world’s first underwater restaurant.
