The Maldives have taken the award for the best islands in the world in the Travel Magazine Condé Nast’s Readers Travel Awards. After competing with worthy adversaries such as Seychelles and the Greek islands, the Maldives took home the award after being set aside by the magazine’s readers as having the best beaches and the most fantastic places to stay.

Other than the best islands awards, resorts from the Maldives also swept away some of the awards such as the Best Spa award won by One & Only Reethi Rah Resort.
