Boutique luxury resort Milaidhoo is set to open its doors in the Maldives on Nov. 1.

The five-star property is located on a private island in the heart of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Baa Atoll region. Travelers will need to take a 30-minute seaplane flight from the airport to get there.

Over-the-water villas sit atop stilts over a lagoon, while others are nestled among the island’s the tropical greenery and the beach. All 50 villas have private swimming pools, dedicated “island hosts" to assist guests throughout their stay, and open up 180 degrees for a full view of the ocean. Milaidhoo offers its guests a collection of exclusive activities, including snorkeling on coral reefs, diving, water sports, cultural excursions, and access to Hanifaru Bay, a marine protected area, known as one of the best places to go whale spotting in the Maldives, as well as attracting the largest seasonal groupings of manta rays.

The resort also has three restaurants, two bars, and a spa with four over-the-water treatment suites.
